Accessibility Statement
IDFB is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with the Federal Act on Barrier-Free Access to Federal Websites and Mobile Applications (Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz – WZG) BGBl. I. Nr. 59/2019 idgF.
This accessibility statement applies to the website idfb.net.
Status of Compliance with the Requirements
This website is partially compliant with the AA conformance level of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1" and the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03), as per Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.
Non-accessible Content
The following content is not accessible for the reasons described:
a. Non-compliance with accessibility requirements
There are contrast issues in the footer and in distinguishing links and headings. Therefore, the success criteria 1.4.3 and 1.4.11 are not met.
We are working to correct these issues.
b. Disproportionate burden
Our videos are hosted and published on the video platform YouTube. It is not possible to provide the required audio descriptions for some of these videos. Therefore, success criterion 1.2.5 (Audio Description – prerecorded) is not fulfilled. We believe that remediation would represent a disproportionate burden as defined by accessibility regulations.
c. Content not within the scope of the applicable legislation
Many, primarily older, PDF and Office documents are not accessible. For example, PDF documents are not tagged, making them difficult or impossible to use with screen readers. As such, WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value) is not fulfilled.
Please let us know if you encounter difficulties with specific documents. Upon request, we will provide accessible versions and replace or supplement the existing documents with accessible alternatives. For new documents, we strive to make them accessible according to WCAG 2.1 and PDF/UA standards before publication. Non-accessible documents, such as print versions, will be clearly marked as such.
Live videos are not subtitled. Therefore, WCAG success criterion 1.2.4 (Captions – live) is not met. Live videos are exempt from Directive (EU) 2016/2102. We do not plan to subtitle live videos.
Third-party content, such as studies or presentation materials from external speakers, which are not within IDFB’s control, is also exempt from Directive (EU) 2016/2102. We cannot make any statement regarding the accessibility of such third-party content.
